Our team
CDPHP Cycle! is a program offered through CDTA in partnership with CDPHP. Together, we’re creating a culture of health in the Capital Region by supporting recreation and exercise through bicycling.
This state-of-the-art bike-share program provides residents and visitors with an alternative form of transportation that supports healthy, active lifestyles while also offering a fun and easy way to explore our communities.
Partners

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) was created in 1970 by the New York State Legislature as a public benefit corporation to provide regional transportation services by rail, bus, water and air. CDTA is the premier mobility provider in the Capital Region, providing local, express, commuter and bus rapid transit services. CDTA owns and operates the Rensselaer Rail and Saratoga Springs Train Stations. Today, nearly 650 people work to deliver a transit system that transports 60,000 customers each weekday.

Established in 1984, CDPHP is a physician-founded, member-focused, and community-based not-for-profit health plan that offers high-quality affordable health insurance plans to members in 24 counties throughout New York.

We make Social Bicycles that people love to ride. Our members can find bikes at hub locations and reserve them from the web, our mobile app, or directly from the bike itself.

Ride safe, follow the rules
Do a Pre-Ride Check
Check the bike’s tire pressure, try the grip bell, and if you’re riding at night, check that the front and rear lights are illuminated.
Follow the Rules
Yield to pedestrians. Stop at all red lights and stop signs. Ride in the direction of traffic. Use the grip bell to signal your presence. Do not wear more than one earbud while riding.
Tips for Turns
Use hand signals to let drivers and other cyclists know your intention to turn or to stop. Don’t turn or change lanes without knowing the position of the cars and bikes around you.
Be Predictable
Make it easy for the other traffic around you. Don’t make unexpected turns that put yourself and others in danger. Ride at a steady pace so other vehicles can anticipate your movement.
Wear a Helmet
Wear a helmet whenever you ride. Always buckle the strap. Replace your helmet after any crash and whenever you see signs of damage.
